Papaya. My whole family is hooked on it.
A friend of mine who has been a vegetarian for three years now, shared with me the wonders of papaya. He said it is the best cleansing fruit for the body and is rich with Vitamin C and A. It helps eliminate harmful wastes and improves digestion of food.
I took his word for it and I am convinced. Now, a family meal is never complete without this wonder fruit on the table.
Manufacturers of beauty products claim the fruit also has an excellent whitening substance for the skin. Well, the supermarkets now abound with papaya soap products. Silka, Likas, Safeguard soaps - these are but examples of soaps that have papaya extracts (as claimed in their adverstisements).
But papaya soaps can dry up the skin. Oh, okay- it may work well with Kris Aquino, but let’s face it - Kris has a naturally smooth and white skin - the very reason why she was hired to endorse a certain brand of papaya soap.
The best way, I guess, to bring out the goodness of papaya - is by eating it. After all, outside beauty comes from within.
