March comes marchin’ on…
Filed under: Celebrations and Culture and Relationships

It is the first day of March which incidentally falls on Ash Wednesday.

The month of March holds for me a lot of fond thoughts. First of all, it is the ‘official’ start of summer season here in the Philippines, and I just looove summer! Second, since March is usually the time when most schools wrap up the school  year, I somehow associate it with graduations and celebrations (of course recalling my own graduations =>).

But what is most special about the month of March is - (jararaaan!!!)… it is my and hubby’s wedding anniversary month.

March 8, 1981, Sunday, 10:00 a.m., - to be exact, Holy Family Parish Church, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan, Philippines, color motif - eternal white - that makes a good (or bad? hehehe) 25 years! Wow! I never thought i could live through (the marriage? lol) this long!

I am posting this not because I want to advertise my wedding anniversary in the hope of receiving a lot of greetings from readers (haha!), but because I intend to publish an article on marriage in my next post. Yes, this is just a premise…

Many of my friends exclaim - whaaat? 25 years? Then some of them, I know, make mental calculations…. “mmmm.. let’s see…  how old was she when she married?… plus 25 years, and that makes___ ….”

(Yes… I know, I know…. I am getting old! But who cares? I don’t feel it! hahaha)

P.S. - I got married at a young age…. =>

    […] But I also have my own great moments in the kitchen. Sometimes when in the right mood, I can whip up a tasty dish, with a handy recipe beside me of course. LOL. And certainly, in the past 25 years of married life, I have acquired some “skills” in the kitchen that have proven to be useful. […]
