I believe and from time’s testing
I know it to be so,
that we can look for truth until all avenues
have been exhausted and still not find
the measure of it
that we seek.
Truth seeks us out
if we are open to the possibilities of what
That word contains
we should never be afraid
to let it enter in
and fill us up.

OFTEN, we seek the truth, but though we think we have found it, we do not realize that the truth we see is just the truth that we want to see. For we believe what we want to believe in; we see what we want to see, and therefore, the truth we often find only belies the real truth that we refuse to see.
Denial. This is the biggest error of humans. We deny our weaknesses; we deny our hurts; we deny our love; we deny the void created by loss of loved ones who may have abandoned us or have passed on to the other life.
All these we do because we avoid the pain that the truth may bring us.
Many times we go far and wide in search for truth. There can be no justice when there is no truth, so it is said. Thus in court cases lawyers and prosecutors, investigators - would do everything to unravel the truth behind crimes. But are they seeking for the real truth or are they merely looking for cover-ups to protect their own interests?
In this age and time, truth can easily be twisted and mutilated to suit individual needs and desires. Facts, evidence and images can even be simulated in a computer. This can become a vicious habit to the point that the mangled truth becomes so real that we begin to believe in our own lies as we can no longer tell the difference between truth and falsehood.
To live with reality, we should know and accept the truth. When we turn our backs to what is true, we find it hard to cope with what is real. For both are relative; they exist together. One cannot be taken from the other. In this world where happiness is a common goal, the first step to attain such is to face the truth and then live with reality.
