July 7 - my younger son’s birthday. Aypee, the Junior. My reliable son, my driver
, my errand boy….
, my student nurse (when will you graduate son? hehe), my mucho guapito baby boy is now 22 years old…. ohhh.. i am old! haha!
One thing I am very thankful for on my son’s birthday is - at least he did not get to celebrate at the hospital!
Happy Birthday, my son! I know I am not the only woman in your life now - but I am not jealous (lower my eyebrows please…. :))
In my heart, you will always be the hyper active boy I nurtured. In my mind you will always be that boy who would sprawl on the floor making kites out of Japanese paper and coconut midribs… the boy about who I would ask around from the neighbors “Have you seen my son biking around?” - because you would speed out of the house on your bike after school and God knows where you could be, and I, your mom - at the time when cellphones were still a rarity - could only pray for your safety as you explored the neighborhood and beyond.
I love you, son! Go and explore the world now… I won’t be asking around about you anymore… not because we have cellphones and emails to let me know how you are - but because I am confident you are now certain of life’s pathways…

Most of my entries that revolved on my children were mostly about my first born Marco and my youngest and only daughter Gem. […]
