Ah, Britney Spears. The girl almost every girl wanted to be like. Good looks, nice voice, popularity - what else could a girl want?

Well, not until lately.

Britney’s  career started to muffle at that time when she married her childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander in Las Vegas. Fifty five hours later, Britney sought annulment. Following this whirlwind marriage, her succeeding relationship with Kevin Federline was not very successful either and ended in a divorce in November this year, after the birth of their second child.

Lately, Britney has been often seen with the (in)famous hotel heiress Paris Hilton. Well, Paris Hilton is Paris Hilton. She parties. She can’t keep herself on her toes at any time. Britney on the other hand, excited over her newfound freedom - found Paris’ company comforting and reassuring. Understandable, so it is.

The singer, apparently wants to revive her dimming career. Let’s face it. There are a lot other hot singers out there who can challenge her vocally. Christina Aguellera, for one, who was always been pitted against her ever since, has a more powerful voice. Ditto with Shakira, Alicia Keys, Beyonce… plus Idols Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and the latest - Katharine MacPhee.  (Side Note: Hollywood news says Katharine MacPhee is being eyed as the “next Catherine Zeta Jones”) Indeed, they could all give Britney a cause to worry.

But in her effort to probably train the limelight on her again, Britney has overplayed with herself.  The adoring public can be more forgiving of a drunk Britney - if only she wasn’t caught not wearing her undies.
