Today is International Women’s Day. I celebrate in joy with all the women in the world.!
Incidentally, today, March 8, is also our 26th wedding anniversary. Date: March 8, 1981, Sunday at 10:00 a.m., Church: Holy Family Parish Church, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan, Father Isidro ‘John’ Palinar, Jr., officiating priest, Mrs. Marvina ‘Baby’ Liban (wife of former Congressman Dante V. Liban of Quezon City’s 2nd district) and Mr. Hermie Narag (former Dean at National College of Business and Arts) heading the principal sponsors. Atty. Luisito ‘Chito’ Liban (hubby’s best college buddy and brother of Ninong Dante) as best man, and Ms. Irma Supnet, my cousin, as maid of honor.
There.. I put all these bits of info down here without looking at our wedding album and I’m very sure my memory doesn’t fail me. LOL!
More info: Reception at Bapor (Ship or Boat) Restaurant in Dagupan City. Unfortunately, this restaurant housed in a building designed like a ship, has already ’sunk’ – as in closed to business now. Too bad, it would have been exciting if we have our anniversary dinner there tonight. Anway, what matters is that though the boat restaurant had sunk, our marriage is still afloat, right? Honeymoon: Nauna na! (It came ahead)
Well, we were ’supposedly married already in civil rites on December 10, 1980, (without knowledge of my parents) only for us to find out later it was not registered and therefore fake! (Mmmm..hope the negligence was not done in bad faith, huh..)
I wanted to post one of our wedding photos here but I’m running out of time and I’m huffing and puffing here because I have an exam in Torts and Damages later. So I guess that will have to wait for the next entry.Till next post!
