This is the most appropriate time for me to bounce back to blogging after sometime of hibernating due to pressures at work and school. I want to share my happiness over the success of the Bar Exams 2006 passers.
Congratulations to lawstude! Lawstude is one of my first visitors and commentors in my blog. I don’t know his real name, so I couldn’t check him out from the list of passers, so I went to his blog, and to my joy, I found out he passed!
Congratulations to Ress! She is now Attorney Purissa Magnaan Reyes! Ress was a former co-teacher of mine at the Pangasinan Universal Institute. She juggled her time between teaching, housekeeping and mothering. She didn’t take the bar immediately as she was loaded with work. But last year, she took the six months off to review and now, she passed! I’m really so happy for her.
Congratulations too, to Atty. Virgilita Castillo and Judge Silverio Castillo because their children likewise made it! Warren, the couple’s eldest child, was at first a reluctant law student. He was already working with a national business publication and was enjoying himself earning his own dough But he was not about to break the professional lineage in the family and finally succumbed to his father’s request to pursue his law studies.
Indeed, what joy to see friends and acquaintances realize their respective achievements!
Kudos to all 2006 Bar Passers!!!! CHEERS!!!!!!!!
As i have browsed over the results of the recent bar exams…I, too, felt deep excitement…we never knew the pains and sufferring these guys went trough…and only a law student can ever tell…I almost could overhear the yells of the person I’ve known to have taken the bar…Personally, next semester, I’ll be on my 2nd year in the College of Law in a University far never heard of…but, i know the race has just began…and more and more law graduates from provincial colleges and universities will graced the top…This year, a graduate of University of Cordilleras made it…I’m saying this because, in vain, i would feel very much offended when i read comments i found in the various blogs here in the net, saying, “this-that College or University rules!!! ”
What???for Christ’s sake, are you deaf???? UP never made it to the top this year!!!!
I hope people would not get offended with this, but i think it’s high time already to tip the balance of the scale in favor of those unsung universities, who, in their greatness, have been silenced by the uproars of law schools in the imperial manila…
My assistant passed the bar too. I’m so lucky… my assistant is a lawyer!!!!
Wow! Great to hear that some of your friends passed the Bar Exams. All that sacrifice didn’t go to waste. Congrats to all of them…
yes, congratulations to all the passers! as to those who did not make it, there is always a next time.
soon, it will be daughter, Monica (incoming 4th year) who will take the bar, then you…hmmm, as monica said, right now all she and her classmates care about, are the daily lessons, exams and recitations, bar is a long way to go. i am sure you feel the same–the daily pressures in school are enough to make your day. and i am also sure that you are enjoying law school, in the same way as my daughter monica does. that is why, family gives her moral support, that is why, we your blogfriends also give you moral support. good luck, dear!
Congratulations to everyone!
(:
You’re back, my sorely-missed friend!! How haaapppyyy! So when are you taking the bar? Meron na ba kayong Moot Court. Alam ko mga seniors ang merong ganyan. Yung sister ko kasi lawyer din. Alam mo ba ang daming lawyers na bloggers — si Toe, si Faith, si Sassy Lawyer to mention a few.
A friend of mine passed the bar exams too. Pero nakakatuwang isipin na humahabol na ang mga ibang students na galing sa malalayong schools para sa top 10. Ikaw ba, kumusta ang pag-aasikaso mo sa mga inasikaso mo?
CONGRATS sa lahat.
Hi, Fidget! GIVE ME FIVE on that!
I took my undergrad course from UP but I root whenever a student from the province tops the bar or any board exam for that matter. Indeed, such discrimination on provincial students should be changed now that more of them are coming out from the heap!
Good luck to your studies. Kayang kaya mo yan!
Toe! Congratulations to you assistant! Grabe! I feel the excitement of those passers talaga,!
Snglguy! On behalf of my friends, thanks so much!
I know someone who passed the bar also last year. During the last week of the bar, her father passed away. They did not tell her until the exams were over, so as not to disturb her focus. See that sacrifice?
Oh, Dine.. I’m so touched! Indeed, I have found great support from you my blogger friends! Really, I mean it sincerely.
For Monica… good luck to her. I just know she can hurdle it..
As for me.. well, Dine, I enjoy my law studies, but I am not so much focusing on the bar because - you know - I have kids and you know how we moms are - our kids are always our priority. But then, who knows? When I’m there, I’m there…
Thanks, Dine, as always!
Thanks, Kyels!
Anna, my dear Anna! Missed you too! Sorry, lagi akong nagdi-disappearing act.. hehehe.
Yes, I know Toe also is a lawyer, and a musician too, I think? Sassy, yes, I’m actually a fan of hers.. hehe….
Hey, LAR! Long time no see! Ikaw ha, bakit nagpapaalam ka na naman sa blog mo? Nasaan ka ba? Siguro naglalakwatsa ka, ano?
Yeah, I’m happy too that students from the province are shining!
Okay naman ako dito.. sa mga inasikaso ko, okay naman lahat.. I still have one final exam though on Tuesday - corporation law.
You can expect prayers and even mass offerings from us, when your time comes to take the bar exams. We will be rooting for you.
