What do you know - I also asked Belle to interview me! Here it goes:
Belle: What would you consider your most important quality and attribute?
Me: Oh, this is a tough question. Hmmm.. let me see…. Uhm… I guess my two most important qualities and attributes are my being a giving person, and my ability to get along with people from all walks of life.
Belle: What do you think you will be doing 10 years from now?
Me: Ten years from now, I’d still be blogging! lol! Seriously though, I see myself as a doting grandma. I would be tutoring my grandchildren. I would be doing a bit of travelling around Asia and the States. I would be keeping a nice, clean, albeit small garden in my house where I can entertain friends for tea and some ‘chika’.
Belle: Name three weird things about you?
Me: Oh, I have been tagged for Six Weird Things… but it’s okay - I am full of weirdness anyway… hehe.
1) Though I am right handed, I can only text and hold the phone with my left hand. Never done it with my right hand.
2) When I was not yet married, I slept with just a folded towel as pillow on my head. I don’t know why - but I was never comfortable with thick pillows. However, I had a pillow each on my right and left sides, and another one on my feet.
3) When bored in the middle of a lecture, seminar or just plain conversation, I doodle by drawing stars all over sheets of paper.
Belle: What was your most embarrasing moment?
Me: When I lost the heel of one shoe in public! It happened while I was walking up Session Road in Baguio City. My heel got caught in the pavement and as I took a step, I began limping. Good thing there was a shoe repair on the sidewalk nearby. He saved my day!
Belle: What is the most romantic thing you have ever done to your hubby and vice versa.
Me: Oh, my! There are plenty! LOL!
Most romantic thing ever done by hubby to me: I can think of two, actually:
1) When, at the brink of separation due to so many differences, he invited me to dinner ‘for the last time’ daw… While waiting for our order, he held my hand, looked at me with tears in his eyes and said: “Ma, I love you. I can’t live anymore without you and the kids.”
2) When, after the intimate act, as I was huddled close to him, I asked him: “Pa, who was your first love?” It took a while for him to answer… I repeated the question… He answered: “I don’t know. I think it’s you.” I was shocked… “What? Me? But you dated so many girls before when you were single! You told me you even had three dates in a day - for breakfast, lunch and dinner!” “Yes, it’s you. You are my first love. I don’t remember having the same feelings for other girls before.” Awww.. I thought that’s not fair! I had my first love in high school! Don’t you think he should also have his first love, other than me?
Most romantic thing I have ever done to hubby: Well, I guess it was during the last Pacquiao-Morales fight. I knew he was looking forward to this fight, so I went to the grocery the day before and bought his favorite snacks. I prepared the bedroom where he was going to watch the match. As he watched, I served him snacks and cold juice drink. Then I sat beside him and tried my best to look interested too, though I am not really a boxing fan.
Well, there goes part 2. But this is not the end, Micamyx has some questions for me too, so part 3 is to follow. Am I boring you now?
Ah, you are indeed a blessed woman, Rhoda!
1) I am also right handed but there are things I can do better with my left hand hahaha
I know a buddy back in Pinas who could not sleep unless he wears long pants - now that is not ony weird but a passport to insomnia LOL
2) Towel as pillows - and pillows at your feet - very interesting and I could say weird
Thanks, Eric… but aren’t we all, in certain ways?
wow rhodora, ang sweet mo naman to even care preparing snacks for hubby for him to comfortably watch the Pacquiao-Morales fight inside the bedroom.
hmmm, i just wonder what happened to you and hubby after watching the fight. baka nagka boxingan din kayo?
:) hahaha, green minded me. *boinks head to a pillow*
BW! I’d rather not know what you do with your left hand.. lol!
Well, I guess using folded towel as my pillow helped in my maintaining good posture. Though I did it not to consciously have good posture. I did it because it was comfortable for me.
Watch out for my next post where I will answer the Six Weird Things about me meme… more shocking revelations!
Feng! Hindi ka nagkamali sa akala mo! hahaha! Ganoon nga ang nangyari!
I like pampering and spoiling him on his rest days…. especially when I need shopping money…
I also try my best to learn about sports because that is my hubby’s interest. But he’s the one who prepares the snacks… hehe!
Oh my goodness, losing a heel on Session Road… what an experience!
my comments are not showing, i wonder why?
no, bring it on Tita Rhodes hehe
Anyway your #1 weirdness is definitely weird hehehe
Your hubby is certainly so lucky for having you as a wife…so caring and understanding…
Toe, you are so lucky for having a chef-like husband! But it’s good for you to try learning about his interests.
Yes! very embarrassing indeed! I wanted to be invisible at that moment!
Belle, please try again. Or if it still doesn’t come out, just email to me, and I’ll post them here.
Thanks for the encouragement, Verns! Hehehe… With the Six Weird Things, mayroon pang accompanying photos…
#1 weirdness.. ewan ko ba, hindi ko talaga alam gamitin ang right hand ko in handling the phone, cellphone or landline for that matter.
Thanks, Major Tom… I’m sure you are one lucky guy too with your wife!
rhodes, thanks for answering my questions. hehehe, just like Feng, i also was curious what happened next after the pacquiao fight. that is sooo sweet! you are simply an amazing woman.
the pillow thing, that is so weird. you probably could have a shot at winning the contest hosted by annamanila re: royal weirdness.
i have never lost a heel but if it does happen to me, i will quickly conceal my face..hehe
My pleasure, Belle! Thanks too!
Sayang, AnnaManila’s contest on royal weirdness is over! Chateau won!
I can understand “weird thing no. 1″ re the left and the right hands because I am like that too .. although I write with my right hand, I have to do some things with my left hand (like eating “kamayan”).
But the pillow! Wow, that certainly helps your posture but that just won’t do with me. Ako naman, I sleep in an almost upright position (because of my esophageal reflux).
so romantic of your hubs to say you’re his first love…not a lot of men would admit that
towel for a pillow is quite weird nga!
Delighted to know more things about you and to know how romantic hubby is and how in love with you. Looking forward to the next ten years of time and tide.
It’s nice that you know what you’re going to do 10 years from now. Me, I can’t even what I’ll be doing and where I’ll be a year, even a few months from now. I’m kinda drifting…
Bugsybee, you’re right! I got used to texting with my left hand because it’s the one that is free while I’m writing.
With the towel as pillow - siguro nga, ako lang ang gumagawa nito! hehehe.
Pining! So right you are - men won’t admit it ever, to protect their macho image.. hehehe.
Naku, ano ba yan.. dami na nagsasabing weird daw ako because of this pillow habit!
AnnaManila, thanks!
Don’t we discover something new about friends each day?
Sngl!
Don’t fret, my friend… somewhere and sometime soon - LIFE will reveal itself for you! Trust me!
oh, why, Rhoda–i have 2 grandchildren and never did i think about tutoring them (maybe because i didn’t do so with any of my 7 kids). that is so sweet of you!
as to the romantic idylls–that gives me a better understanding of why hubby loves you very much.
as to your best attribute–a giving person - you and Belle are similar in that sense.
Me naman, Dine - I tutored my kids until they are able to be on their own na, especially the eldest.
Thank you for the kind words, Dine!
