Hello, dear blog friends! I have resurrected! I am home! Yes, after being away for several weeks, here I am now, happy to be back.
Well, I was not actually completely away from the blogosphere, because I had much fun “gallivanting” to other sites (while staying away from mine -hehe), and been a frequent visitor/lurker of blog berks’ sites: Señor Enrique, Snglguy, Sidney, AnnaManila, Noemi, Connie, Verns, BW, LAR, Micamyx, Lizette, Abaniko, Major Tom, Bugsybee, Manilenya, Houseband00, Tutubi, Belle, Niceheart… who else, who else? —– OMG! I’m running out of breath now and I apologize if I can’t mention everyone. But anyhow, rest assured my dear friends that despite my invisibility in my own blog the past weeks, I was very much around, silently hopping about and taking a peek at your home sites and leaving comments which I hope you have at least noticed.
So, how was the break, you might ask? Hmmm… All I can say is that my life lately has been a roller coaster of events, adventures and misadventures. But all things are bright and beautiful, don’t worry, although there are inevitable hitches, glitches, misses and angst. I can say at this point that I have mended some wounds of both remote and recent past, patched up holes on kin relationships and right now eagerly re-building fragmented dealings. In totality therefore, I am treading my paths now with lighter, more springy steps. I don’t want anymore stones in my luggage. They pin me down; they crush me out.

Tatay’s birthday
On my father’s birthday last September 21, Tatay turned 87. We had a family reunion and all grandchildren who are either working or studying in Manila and Baguio came home to celebrate with him. it was a happy gathering although I felt quite old being called ‘Lola Mamu’ by my grandnephews and grandniece. Heck, I am such a sucker for such trivial issue on the proper and hip way of addressing an elderly relative.
I remember when my first grand nephew was born and we had to decide how he would call his grandparents, grand uncles and grand aunties. Observably, grandparents in this modern age usually do not want to be bluntly called “Lola” or “Lolo”. Take Erap and Senator Loi Ejercito for instance. They are called “Mommyla” and “Daddylo” by their grandchildren.
Anyway, I suggested that the new grand baby would call his parents’ parents Daddy and Mommy. And to set a difference, he would call his parents Mama and Papa. So far so good. My suggestion was sustained. When it came to uncles and aunts however, my proposal: “Grandcle” for uncles and “Grandtie” for the aunties, was turned down. Masyado na raw maarte. hehe. Therefore as we did not agree on this matter I just decided to adopt my own, and that is to be called “Mamu” or “Lola Mamu” by grandchildren in the family.
Just occurred to me: I wonder how my dear friend AnnaManila’s brand new granddaughter will call her. Anna has recently upgraded her status in her family. She is now a proud and happy new grandmom to a lovely baby girl. I am just so jealous… err… happy for her.

Grabbing a tag from Snglguy
I was earlier lurking at Snglguy’s blog and got intrigued by a meme he lately posted. It’s an untitled meme, but here are the instructions:
Upon receiving this tag, immediately perform a screen capture of your desktop. It is best that no icons be deleted before the screen capture so as to add to the element of fun.
You can do a screen capture by:
[1] Going to your desktop and pressing the Print Scrn key (located on the right side of the F12 key).
[2] Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and do a Paste (CTRL + V).
[3] If you wish, you can “edit” the image, before saving it.
For MAC users: Press [ Apple] [ Ctrl ] [ Shift ] and [ 3 ]
B. Post the picture in your blog. You can also give a short explanation on the look of your desktop just below it if you want. You can explain why you preferred such look or why is it full of icons. Things like that.
C. Tag five of your friends and ask them to give you a Free View of their desktop as well.
Well, I felt challenged. I thought I might as well prove to myself that I am not a total nincompoop when it comes to tweakings, photo uploading tricks and etc.
So, here, ladies and gentlemen - take a look at my desktop. hehe. You may wonder what this vintage car is doing in my desktop. Alas, I can’t really claim full ownership of this personal computer. That car wallpaper was created by my son Aypee, being a car bug that he is. Too bad for I would have preferred splashing my desk top with my own gorgeousness in my birth suit (shocking!) if not for this annoying buggy here.:)
(Note: This is just Aypee’s dream car.)
What about you? What’s on your desk top? Ah, I’d love to see.
Oh my gosh, this post has become too long. Are you still awake?
Okay, gotta go! This is more than enough for a back to blogging entry. See you around, folks!

Hey, welcome back to blogging Rhoda! Good to know all is well on your side. That’s the thing with us Cancerians, we’re just too darn emotional sometimes. But at least we bounce back…
Uy, nag-post din siya ng desktop niya, hehe. That well-restored Veedub convertible is your Son’s dream car? I’m surprised cause most guys his age would have preferred a Porsche Booxer, hehe.
Hi, Sngl! Thanks for visiting.
Oo nga, Cancerians are always on an emotional roller coaster. hehe.
Ay, for now, siguro, ito ang dream car niya. Bata pa kasi. Wait till he graduates and gets a job. Porsche na sigurado ang gusto.
Hi there!! You may not know me but I’ve been a lurker here for a while. Might have posted a comment or two in the past. And, you’re in my blogroll because..well..I like your site. Anyways, great to have you back in good blogging form. Looking forward to more.
BTW, I’m a Cancerian too and yes I’m a roller coaster fan..literally and emotionally. My husband can pretty much attest to that. Hehehe. Also, my dream car is a “pogi” relative of your son’s dream machine. I’m wishing for a gun-metal gray Kharmann Ghia with white-sidewall tires and pink-fluff upholstery
Glad your back
Dear dear, so you’re also a cancer. I guess snglguy is right then, about our emotions taking over sometime. That was the reason I went on a hiatus in August, too.
Anyhoo, hope to read more of you then…

Thank you everyone for welcoming me back! Feeling ko para akong balikbayan tuloy. hehehe.
Hope I can keep up with my blogging more regularly than before, because as you well know - I am a multi-tasking person and since I am a mother, topping my list of course are my mommy duties.
