I’m not a devout Catholic either so with the rest of the family. But I have those rosary bracelets because it reminds me of my son who prayed the rosary often. Sigh, our kids are more devout than us.

Most catholics have the same reasoning pagdating images, rosary,idols, relics, etc..but the fact is catholics doctrines ito na ang mga symbols are not mere decoration or props, talagang pinasasamba ito ng simbahan. Well kung hindi mo ito ginagawa you are not real catholic. The sad part is walang sinasabi ang bible sa practice na ito na minana pa natin nuong panahon ng kastila.

Bravo for the new look, Rhoda. Is that a gift from Tsukuba, too? I think it is minimalist looking and therefore classy.

What beautiful beads, Rhoda. I know what you mean when you said we don’t venerate the rosary nor the crucifix and other icons for themselves but only as representations of our great Creator.

I am not also a sarado Catolico. I I believe that God is so big no one can miss Him, even if he tries..

I’m not a devout Catholic either. I hear mass when I can but it’s not a routine for me. I find it more comforting to talk to the Lord on my own and in my own way. Still, I appreciate prayers but I don’t make it a point to use them all the time when I want to speak with Him. I feel that I can get my message across clearer when I tell it like it is. However, I do pray the rosary and do novenas. Just not strictly
