The world is too much with us: late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers.
Little we see in nature that is ours;
We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!
This sea that bares her bosom to the moon,
The wind that will be howling at all hours,
And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers –
For this, for everything, we are out of tune;
It moves us not. Great God! I’d rather be
A pagan suckled in a creed outworn,
So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn,
Have eight of proteus rising from the sea
Or hear old Trison blow his wreathed horn.
(William Wordsworth)
How beautiful. What a breathtaking photo. I want to be there…sitting on that chair.
Thanks, Noemi.
I had the chance to be invited by a friend to her beach house - which is right in front of the sea, only a few meters away from the water.
Ang ganda ng litrato.
Pero teka ano ibig sabihin ng poem…. ha ha ha.
Kumusta ka na?
Hi, Rolly, I’m fine, thank you. Hope you are too.
My son took that pic at the beach house of a friend. I will soon post an entry about this very interesting friend.
Ang ibig sabihin yata ni Mang William sa poem, ay napakarami nating pinagkakaabalahang mga bagay, at nao-obsess tayo sa material things, pero di natin nakikita ang ganda ng nature na nasa paligid lang natin.
Since you’ve explained it, I can now appreciate the poem. I’m not so good with poetry.
Perfect place to commune with nature and God, especially with the soothing sounds of the water.
Appreciating poetry is not really easy, Eric. Sometimes you have to go beyond the words to understand what it says.
Indeed - it’s so quiet in that place. I’d love to sit on that veranda and sip my morning coffee while looking at the sea.
Ang daya! bakit yung mga litratong kuha ko di mo pa pinost. post mo na ma!! sige na daya mo hmph =/
Ay, sorry anak, ha… kasi wala akong maisip na entry na bagay sa mga coffee bean pics mo, e. Sabi nga ni Simon Cowell… try to be relevant… hehehe.
But don’t worry - ipo-post ko na, soon.
Lab u babsie…:)
The view is beautiful and I wish I was the one sitting there admiring the beauty of life while reading poetries from various poets. Such a bliss.
Don’t we all wish a quiet time in our life, Kyels? Yes, such a bliss indeed.
Wow! This view + good book = paradise.
I loove that daughter-and-ma “conversation” up there … sige nga naman, i-post mo naman please starting with the Angels picture.
Exactly, Bugsybee!
I posted her pics na. Makulit yan, e. hehehe.
Thanks for visiting, Bugsy!
